“……….. whoever could make
two ears of corn or two blades of grass to grow upon a spot of ground where only
one grew before, would deserve better of mankind, and do more essential service
to his country than the whole race of politicians put together.”
Gulliver’s Travels, ‘Voyage to
Brobdingnag’
Jonathan Swift 1667-1745
Our logo
is 'two ears of corn'. We are looking for people who can take a lot from
this site and perhaps give a little back. Ideally we need:
 |
translators
(Translators would normally only translate into
the language of their birth.) |
 |
technicians
(Technicians would have had training or
experience in agriculture, animal welfare nutrition etc.) |
 |
computer
skills (People who can produce a finished
document from the translators and technicians.) |
If
you would like to join us please write to food-security@myway.com
and tell us something of your experience.
At
present we only offer documents in English and Swahili. It is possible
that documents translated into other languages could also appear here. It
would require a group with the above skills in that language to agree on how to
proceed. Major world languages like French, Spanish and Chinese
would have the greatest impact, but all languages can be considered. If
you want to form part of such a group, email food-security@myway.com
(in English, please!) with your ideas.
